Faith brings increase!

Acts 16:4 And as they went through the cities, they delivered them the decrees for to keep, that were ordained of the apostles and elders which were at Jerusalem. 5 And so were the churches established in the faith, and increased in number daily.
When Luke wrote the book of Acts he used a very specific word for “increase” it was the Greek word “perisseuo” which means “to abound, overflow, to overly exceed” Now reading that scripture again with this understanding changes everything.
It actually says that “as the disciples taught them the Gospel of Jesus Christ, it caused their churches to be established in the faith, which brought about abounding overflow in the numbers of people coming daily.”
Move passed the subject of people here. Look at the principle: As we are established in faith, increase comes.
Matthew 14: 13 When Jesus heard it, He departed from there by boat to a deserted place by Himself. But when the multitudes heard it, they followed Him on foot from the cities. 14 And when Jesus went out He saw a great multitude; and He was moved with compassion for them, and healed their sick. 15 When it was evening, His disciples came to Him, saying, “This is a deserted place, and the hour is already late. Send the multitudes away, that they may go into the villages and buy themselves food.” 16 But Jesus said to them, “They do not need to go away. You give them something to eat. 17 And they said to Him, “We have here only five loaves and two fish.” 18 He said, “Bring them here to Me.” 19 Then He commanded the multitudes to sit down on the grass. And He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, He blessed and broke and gave the loaves to the disciples; and the disciples gave to the multitudes. 20 So they all ate and were filled, and they took up twelve baskets full of the fragments that remained. 21 Now those who had eaten were about five thousand men, besides women and children.
Jesus was established in faith. He understood Gods heart for people, and His desire to feed them. So as Jesus began to walk out His faith, increase came. Because of this, many were blessed!
This is the place that we need to ABIDE in.. when we walk in faith, increase comes!

As I read this I realize that according to the measure of my faith more will be added to me.
If I believe in what has been spoken over my life than I can only grow deeper in my gifts and talents as I use them in faith and not hold back from fear and doubt. God is looking for a people who will trust Him deeply and move out in faith to do the work of the kingdom and be His hands and feet where needed.
We need to pray for the church with faith and power and see in the spirit the great things the Lord has in store for the Porch. It's not just about us but it's about the lost and also the city of Fall River. It won't be seen as the forgotten city anymore when we set out in increasing faith to trust and believe the Lord for life change throughout city government and in the lives of Fall River residents. I truly believe that.
