CORE BELIEFS
The following are the core beliefs of Spindle City Church based on the foundational truths seen throughout scripture. All of our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows out of these biblical beliefs.
GOD
Jesus Christ
There is one eternally existing God who has three distinct persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. He is the creator of all that exists, both visible and invisible, and is therefore worthy of all glory and praise. God is perfect in love, power, holiness, goodness, knowledge, wisdom, justice, and mercy. He is unchangeable and therefore is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow. He is love and is passionately pursuing relationship with each and every one of His kids.
Jesus Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He is perfect theology. He is the benchmark. What we see in His life is a road map of not only what is possible, but the greater things that He spoke of. He lived a life that displayed a Son in perfect relationship with His Father. He willingly laid down His life for us to be completely restored to our Father.
Holy Spirit
MANKIND
Jesus said it was more beneficial to us that He go because another would come, He will guide us, lead us, and teach us the very heart of the Father. He loves to be with us. He loves to walk with us and He loves to bring revelation and fill us with the POWER of God. Without Him, all we have is words.
Humans, both male and female, were created in God's image for His glory. He placed each one of us here to take dominion over this land. That we truly would be the ambassadors of His Kingdom on Earth. Our destiny is to bring the heart of the Father everywhere we go, not only in word... but through His Spirit, in power!
THE FALL
SALVATION
After being created in our Father's image, Adam and Eve chose not to obey God. This was the "original sin". It was the place where we lost our God-given identity. We fell out of right standing with Holy God, and fractured all of creation ever since that time.
Because of the Father's great love and value for us. He sent His Son Jesus to reconcile us. He lived a life without sin and willingly died on the cross to pay the penalty for our transgressions. God raised him from the dead and now, by grace, offers as a free gift eternal life to all who follow Christ, by faith, as their Lord and Savior. He is the only way to the Father. Salvation can be found in Christ alone.
THE CHURCH
The Church is meant to be the visible body of Christ, sent into the world to glorify God and proclaim and demonstrate the gospel of Jesus Christ. To the bring the Kingdom of God into the Hi-ways and Bi-ways bringing Heaven to Earth!
